The Zarchton is an enemy fought in Legend of Grimrock II. Amphibious creatures, they can be found in the water and on land, though never far from a water source. Scholars continue to debate whether these beings evolved from fish or adapted to live in the sea.[1]
Though Zarchtons are limited to melee attacks, their strongly developed leg muscles allow them to leap in combat. They are capable of attacking from a square away by leaping forward, bringing them into melee range, and can quickly dodge attacks by leaping backward. Their agility is more limited when in the water, but finding one of their harpoons is necessary to combat them there.
